Malaysians
are truly caring and kind-hearted people. Despite the physical restrictions
imposed by the movement control order and the challenges of the COVID-19
pandemic, thousands of people responded to the Guardian Malaysia’s campaign and
donated hand sanitizer to charity homes to help those in need stay safe.
A total of
9,500 bottles, including 4,477 bottles of hand sanitizer donated by its
customers in the "Guardian" campaign, have been distributed to 22
established charities and organizations. Guardian organized an event earlier.
Guardian customers who spend RM40 or more will get a free bottle of hand
sanitizer, which they can donate to charities or organizations in each state
chosen by Guardian. Moreover, some customers even bought more hand sanitizer to
donate to the house.
The
generosity of Guardian customers towards their fellow Malaysians came through clearly
in this campaign. It was only for one
week but the response was really enthusiastic.
Such kind-hearted support for those in need is really heart-warming,
especially during these challenging times where a third wave of the pandemic
has increased the need for greater safety.
It goes
without saying that, we need to be extremely diligent and disciplined to comply with
all standard operating procedures, including ensuring that our personal hygiene
is good. For this, it is absolutely necessary to keep your hands clean at all
times.
Apart from
Guardian loyal customers, none are more vulnerable than the less-privileged,
such as the elderly and children in welfare homes. This campaign is one way of helping to make
sure both Guardian customers and the less-privileged have effective hand
sanitisers to clean their hands and maintain hygiene.
